CCS Monthly Meeting


Topic: "Traditional Cherokee Basketweaving"

Time: 7:00 p.m.

Location: Tracy Gee Community Center, 3599 Westcenter, one block south of Richmond Avenue, east of the Sam Houston Tollway West Belt.

Meeting is open to all interested persons. No admission fee.

Join our CCS member as he displays his fine art of basketweaving and shares some knowledge with us. Visitors will marvel at the variety of colors, designs and uses. Not to be missed!


Medicine Wheel Ceremony


Mark your calendar to join us on SUNDAY, JULY 1 to reset the MEDICINE WHEEL at the home of CCS member Steve Triplett in Santa Fe, Tx. We will gather by noon, perform the ceremony and enjoy a potluck meal afterward.

Participants are welcome to bring prayer feathers and traditional herbs. The Wheel is reset to honor our ancestors and the Cherokee tradition. Call Steve with questions: 409-925-8082. (Maps available: contact vhenrichs@earthlink.net)
