Patrick "Speaking Wind" Quirk
Author Patrick Quirk grew up on the Pueblo Reservation near the Jemez Mountains in New Mexico. His mother was hit by a truck and severly injured when Patrick was born. Since his mother was ill most of his young life, two elders, Grandfather and Two Bears, took Patrick and his friend Cheeway under their wings, and taught them many of the old ways. Patrick has served in Vietnam before working for many years for IBM. He is a brilliant man, and the ancient teachings that he brings are of great value to those of us who are following the paths of the ancient ones.

Lelanie Stone
Cherokee Medicine Woman and author, Lelanie Stone grew up on the land given to her family outside Tahlequah. She learned how to recognize plants and what they were to be used for at a very early age. As a young mother, she moved to New Mexico to continue her profession as a nurse. It was there that her love and interest in herbs came to life again, as she worked with many of the women healers from the Tiowa tribe. Lelanie's grandmother told her that there would be a time when the ancient ways would come to live again, because the knowledge would be needed by the Earth's children in order to survive. Each of Lelanie's books contain information that we should be teaching our children as well.

There is a deep reverence for the earth, the elements, and the value of the human spirit reflected in the collection of writings from many cultures around the world, as well as those written by "Professor" Brown himself. Pete Brown has the heart of a philosopher and the soul of a poet, and his love for nature is quite clear at his site. By the way, he's also a champion surfer!!
