Hi! I'm Ginger Lynn Jay and I am so very proud to tell you that I appeared on Homicide: Life on the Streets, Friday (Jan 12) on NBC. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

You see... I've worked as an extra on projects such as Firestarters, The Bedroom Window and a re-enactment on America's Most Wanted but, to my major disappointment, I ended up on the cutting room floor. I am also due to appear in a jail scene in the movie "Twelve Monkeys" starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt.

The appearance on Homicide really meant a lot to me. It was my first audition (boy, was that scary!), my first cold reading (urgh!) but... it was also my first speaking part! Now that's awesome!

I guess I want everyone to be as excited as I am. I've really worked hard to get where I am. I've been a waitress for several years, juggling an acting careeer, classes and supporting myself, and the part on Homicide made it all worthwhile. Filming Homicide was the most magical moment in my life. I am so grateful to be a part of it. Before the actual filming, they gave me my very own script. It is so cool! On the first page is the list of characters and my character is affectionately referred to as "waitress". At the end of the script are my three beautiful lines, lines I will never forget as long as I live! I couldn't be prouder!

I watched it on television for the chance to relive my magical moment! And please... take a second to send NBC a nice message about me. Their address is Entertainment@nbc.com

Thank you for spending time with me, I hope that you find as much happiness as I have!

Thank You!
